Bangsai Country Club

A lovely golf course in Bangkok in the pleasant open countryside. There are a number fun holes, most notably the Par 5 9th, one of many good driving holes where you can let it rip. The short Par 4 2nd rivals any in Thailand, and only the bravest of long hitters will attempt to knock it on. It's nothing more than a middle or long iron/fairway wood followed by a short iron, but the tee shot is rather intimidating with the hole doglegging around water. Bangsai Country Club is clearly not the best conditioned golf course in Bangkok or Thailand, nor does it have the best service or facilities, but the golf course design is one of the best in Bangkok, and arguably in all of Thailand.  The course has a lot of locals playing but even though they ocassionally allow groups of 5 and 6, they play reasonably fast. Bangsai Country Club is one of those hidden gems you will be pleasantly surprised by.

The condition of fairway and green are good specially after rained. The layout although not so well maintain but still acceptable. The problem in this golf course mostly about management particularly the arrangement for tee-off. The golfers found difficulty in countinuing play caused by allowing undisciplined golfers to play without checking time. Marshalling in this coruse not so effective, the starters are not keen in releasing golfer that resulting in the heavy traffic during the sport-day and weekend. Caddies are friendly, most of them are polite and well-trained in performing their duties but quite difficult to researve some caddies who are in demand possibly because they distinct personality e.g. 040,053,059 etc.
