Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club

One of the older courses near the city centre features lots of water, attractive layout and big & mature trees. Completely rebuilt in 1994 by James R. Vaughn. This is actually a very demanding test of golf, especially if you're not hitting it straight. Most holes feature water and/or Out of Bounds on both sides of the fairway and the greens are deceiving and somewhat difficult to read. The Par 4 1st can ruin any chances of a good score very quickly, and the Par 5 2nd is equally difficult with a narrow fairway and water hazards on both sides. There are significantly more mature trees than most other courses in Bangkok, and combined with several tight driving holes, Krungthep Kreeta can frustrate you as much as any golf course in Bangkok.

The exclusive Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club features a challenging 18-hole golf course, conveniently located close to downtown Bangkok. The original course opened for play in 1969, followed with major facelift in 1995, is  one of the most matured and prettiest golf course  in Bangkok. Krungthep Kreetha golf course features garden-styled golf course with a variety of colourful lushed-trees, well maintained fairways and greens, with numerous large ponds and bunkers to add to a refreshing and exciting golf round. The existing layout extends a moderate 6,331 yards from the member’s regular white tees, made challenging with tight fairways and plenty of doglegs. Golfers with good course management strategy and accurate shot makers are often rewarded with low scores, while the big hitters and wayward shot makers may not be so lucky.

I played here 2 weeks ago and the front nine are as tight as a ......

The back nine holes are much better and in great condition. I would even consider playing them twice instead of the the normal 18.

I played here last year and it was a very nice experience! The course was in good condition and my caddies (I had two) were good, very enthousiastic and gave good information how to play a certain hole. Looking forward to play there next september!!
