Pinehurst Golf & Country Club

A 45-minute drive from downtown Bangkok and 15 minutes past Don Muang lies Pinehurst Golf & Country Club. The layout is very similar to those in the US, with water hazards and mounds providing most of the challenge. As Pinehurst is a members-only club with a large Japanese contingent, maintenance is usually consistent. Accommodation available. Less than an hours drive from Bangkok, Pinehurst Golf and Country Club was once a truly international standard course with 27 holes divided into The Lake, Greenfield and Forest.  Now the course standard is below average and now you can  play many better golf courses in Bangkok.

This is however an okay golf course in Bangkok for high handicap golfers and those out to just have a good time. It has played host to various major golfing events in Thailand such as the 1992 Johnny Walker Classic. This relatively flat layout consists of three nine-hole courses, each characterized by water hazards, mounds and tree lined fairways. The Lake course is similar to many American municipal golf courses. The Greenfield nine is very smooth and flat. And the ‘Forest’ course is the most challenging. The clubhouse is also good although getting a bit worse for wear.
