Opened in 2013, Garden City Golf Club has made its mark and has stepped up to became one of the number one golf courses to play in Cambodia, and is comparable with the excellent courses in Siem Reap.

Designer Major General Weerayudth Phetbuasak, who also was the architect responsible for the Phokeethra Country Club in Siem Reap, has created a very special layout , originally built on featureless rice paddy fields. It is now a very well manicured and green 18 holes.

But you would not think it is a flat boring set up, as they have developed and reshaped the course to feature mounds and water hazards and a few well placed local shrubs.

The championship 7,361 yards from the black tees offers low handicappers a fantastic challenge , however the designers have included a further four tees to enable golfers of all abilities to enjoy a good game of golf here. A course length of 5,349 yards is available from the red tees.

The fairways are generous on this resort styled course, and the greens are both large and undulating. A very green and easy to view on the eye layout and IMG’s staff have gone all out to keep all 18 holes in 5 star condition. Here you have a few water hazards, well placed bunkers and a few local vegetation.

Most notably is the par 4 sixth hole, with water protecting the left side and a lake to the right of the green, a par at this hole is a great result. When considering a trip to Phnom Penh we highly recommend you visiting this course.
