But if you
do head in to the trees you will find by long needle pines that line the
fairway and once in here and you will be forced to punch off the sand
and pine needles along a safe line just to get back into play.
Once you are lining up the approach shot you need to be careful as
the greens that have quite a lot of break in most of them are well
protected by bunkers.
Unusually for Vietnam it can get very windy around Danang so
combined with firm fairways this can make those wide fairways feel very
narrow. Those used to links style golf will feel at home here and will
be using all those funky bump and run shots and shaping shots low in to
the wind. It is worth taking a second to think about different shot
making as you make your way around this exciting new course.
You will definitely be remember of Scottish links style golf
(probably not Scottish weather though!) as you play Danang Golf club,
Greg Norman has really put together a great course that will have you
coming back year after year.
