Golfers are generally pretty competitive guys, after all golf can be such a frustrating game to play the only thing that keeps many golfers coming back for more is their competitive spirit and a will to improve and beat other golfers. Everyone is aware of the great golf tournaments and events around the globe, from the PGA to the Masters and the Ryder Cup but it is not only the professionals who have golf tournaments. Each year most of the larger amateur golf clubs hold an annual golf tournament in which there are usually 3 or 4 different categories to enable players of all standards to be able to compete for some kind of prize. These golf tournaments are usually very well organized and offer some great prizes out to the lucky golfers who win their category.
