The society also organizes golf tours for its members and also hosts golf tours from similar societies in Thailand.   PEGS uses the computerized USGA Handicap System ( SLOPE ).<O:P> </O:P> </center> The system generates a handicap index  which is used in conjunction with course Slope rating tables to produce the appropriate course handicap for the member. An official USGA Handicap Index is generated after 20 cards have been submitted, however members become active after 5 cards. Members will be awarded points from the end of month tournament results (only). The competition will run to the end of 2006 where trophies will be presented to the winners at the Christmas dinner. Low Gross, Low Net and Stableford Points : Winner 9 Runner Up 6 Second Runner Up 3 </td> </tr> </table> </div>   <div align="center"><center> <table border="2" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="1" width="100%" bordercolor="#008000" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <tr> <td> Tournaments PEGS hold two monthly tournaments, an informal one on the second Thursday of each month and a regular formal Stableford on the last Thursday of each month.   PEGS members and guests can pre-register for this tournament at <a href="Champs.htm">Champs Sports Pub</a>  in Patong.   There is a weekly 9-hole competition organized by the <a href="Mulligan.htm" target="_blank">Mulligan Society</a> every Wednesday afternoon at Banyan Tree.
