Pattaya Golf Courses
Set amongst the hills and jungle near Sriracha', the Bangphra International Golf Club is only located approx 25 minutes from Pattaya and about 90 minutes from Bangkok on the new freeway. Originally opened in 1958, this course was a joint venture by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and a Japanese company. This was amongst the first of the golf courses in Thailand and as such hosted national events.
The Classic 36 holes at Burapha approx 30 minutes from Pattaya is one of the top 5 golf courses in Pattaya. This high quality golf course has hosted both amateur and major tournaments, previously members only visitors are now welcome. The two 18 holes championship golf courses have been planned by the highly respected architect Gary Panks and world - famous touring professional David Graham.
The Crystal Bay Golf Club (Formerly Natural Park Hills) is 45 minutes from Pattaya and is a 27 hole course. Often described as a Hawaiian style course, it has recently added extra palm trees to increase the parkland course feel to it. Water is featured on the perimeter of the holes; the course has lush fairways, plenty of well placed bunkers on the hilly fairways. The greens while quite large are undulated, but are not really dramatic. This course is a delight for every golfer.
The Eastern Star Golf Club is situated 45 minutes from Pattaya and is located near the Gulf of Thailand, Set in an old coconut plantation it features thousands of coconut palms. A Robert Trent Jones Jnr design, it's a 'thinking mans' course that has plenty of water hazards and dog leg holes along its 18 fairways.
(Formerly Century Golf Club) The Emerald Golf Club is a genuine country golf course with excellent course conditions and quality services. Under new ownership, the course has returned to the maintainence program that the course designers would have expected for the layout.
Great Lake Golf & Country Club is located some 60 kilometers south of Pattaya on the way to Sattahip. This Nick Faldo course occupies more or less level landscape just 700 yards from the picturesque Dok Krai Reservoir. With all the water nearby, there is a conspicuous absence of water on the course but Faldo made up for the lack of water with a proliferation of bunkers. Book Now!.
Khao Kheow Country Club is a 27-hole golf course designed by Pete Dye. The course is located on the main road from Bangkok and Pattaya. Like many of the courses situated on the eastern side of the Gulf of Thailand, Khao Kheow enjoys the strong sea breezes in the afternoon.
Pattaya Country Club & Resort has 18 holes and was deigned by the PGA of Thailand and opened in 1994. This par 72 course is 6775 yards from the championship tee, 6341 yards from the white tee and 5473 from the red tee. The course is located approx 25 km from Pattaya.
Phoenix Golf & Country Club is designed by Dennis Griffiths. The course is located approx 15 minutes from central Pattaya and has 27 holes on offer, each of the nines is named the Mountain, Lake and Ocean and best describes the types of landscape that dictates the style and design of the nines.
Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club is located nine miles south of Chon Buri just off Route 7, and only two miles from mountain foothills that rise quickly to peaks of 1500 feet above sea level. Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course is a municipal track in the center of the Sattahip peninsula, only four miles from the center of Sattahip town. This course opened in 1969 and you can get there in 30 minutes by car from Pattaya. When you get there, the Gulf of Siam is an average of five miles away on all sides but the northeast. The Old Course at the Siam Country Club is located just 15 minutes from Pattaya beach and was the 1st privately owned golf course in Thailand and was first opened in 1971. The course which was originally designed by I. Izumi, was closed for a time recently, undergoing complete renovation by Schmidt Curley Design, and was reopened in March 2007.
