Phuket Country Club

Phuket Country Club was established in 1989, and built over a reclaimed tin mine. This Phuket golf course provides a challenge for golfers of all levels. Host to the Ladies Kosaido Thailand Open 1992 and Prince Bernard Cup tournaments, the club offers two courses with 27 holes. Voted "Best Course in Thailand" by Asian Golf Magazine 2001 and "Best Holes Par-Five" by Asian Golf Magazine 2001 (Hole #10.) Located in Kathu District just 5 kms. from Phuket Town and Patong Beach, about 20 minutes from Patong.  Phuket Country Club should be on your list of courses to play in Thailand.

The Old Course at Phuket Country Club provides a strenuous resort 18-holes, 6483 yards, par 72 golf game. Hole #10, 557 yards par 5, is one of the most unusual hole you will find anywhere; a dog-leg right that snakes around an enormous lake and reachable in one! To achieve it, you must aim 90 degree right of the fairway - and be able to carry you drive 240 yards over the water. See layout hole #10 diagram. This Phuket golf course is fun and friendly. Set in a valley, the fairways meandering through the hills and limestone cliffs. You will traverse 3 distinct environments:- six holes in undulating hills, six holes on the level and six holes through landscape forest. It is generally not humiliating or intimidating (depending on your temperament, of course!). Wayward shots are not too severely penalized; just stay away from the 'vertical-cliff' wall bunkers guarding strategic Greens. Although high handicappers have the best round of their lives and keep coming back for more, the low handicap golfers still find the course quite a challenge.

Challenging course and a very beautiful view. Nice layout and some very spectacular holes.

This course is boring as well, however you are saved by play on the front nine. A few interesting holes. the back side is really boring and drawn out. Good for ladies and Asians. The bigger challenge is the Phuket 9 hole next to this. Far better course, challenging and a real course. The management of PCC failed to complete the second nine therefore they really missed the boat. This is the "Best" 9 holes in all of Phuket golf. PCC is also over priced and undervalue.

Robert you are being much to negative, PCC is an excellent course, with a real challenge on the tenth if you want to up your score. The location is perfect too if you're staying around the Patong beach area.
