Sea Links Golf Club is in the combined tourist communities of Muai Ne and Phan Thiet, about a third of the way up the coast from Vung Tau toward Nha Trang. With the kinds of elevation changes you’ll experience at this course you can expect vistas of the East Vietnam Sea from just about everywhere on the course.

The terrain takes you down a 219’ drop from the front part of the golf course to where it nears the seaside. To put this into perspective, that drop occurs over a distance of 1300 yards! Do the math and you’ll find that the average incline of the property from the sea to out front is 32 degrees! Obviously, playing areas have been carved into this slope but you can be pretty sure most putts will break toward the sea.

You can drive from Saigon to Sea Links in about 4 hours and there are modern buses for those so inclined. This Vietnam golf course is located in a popular beach tourism community where you’ll see lots of world-class resort hotels and a generally festive holiday mood most of the time. Don’t even think of arriving during Tet or any other major holiday without guaranteed reservations in advance, which wouldn’t be easy without a car because bus seats are nearly impossible to get during major holidays to this popular destination.

Sea Links Golf Club is excavated onto 160 hectares of sea cliff and when designer Ronald Fream started shaping the layout he may have had to clear his ears and fight nosebleeds from the 32-degree incline of the terrain. The course measures out at 7700 yards from the tips, and each hole’s beauty and challenge is complemented by panoramic sea vistas. Notable holes include the long par fives and two par-three island greens. Heavy undulations are found on the greens and fairways making it as challenging as they come.
