A True Country Golf Club

Although a slightly longer drive from the city centre, this 36 hole gem is well worth the journey and is a pleasure to experience. Here designer Roger Packard has created the 7,012 yard Championship East course or the shorter 6,605 yard West course to challenge all levels.

The long par four 7^th and 8^th holes on the East Course B nine are considered by some to be two of the better par four holes in Bangkok, and they usually play into a prevailing breeze. The shorter West Course is easier for most golfers, but will test course management skills from the back tees.

For a country course the greens on both courses are among the best putting surfaces in Bangkok

and the fairways are often double-cut, providing especially fine playing conditions. Even their bunkers are kept in pristine condition as well. Packard has used Tifway 419 on the fairways and Tifdwarf on the greens.

You’ll see lots of water but it is seldom strategic and for the most part he built the greens narrow, less than 20 yards wide or deep with some about half that. You’ll also see some expansive waste bunkers, one of which measures nearly 270 yards in length. Mature trees line the fairways creating not only attractive landscaping but also lots of shade for hot afternoons. The caddies at Lam Luk Ka have a very good reputation and you’ll enjoy the complete array of clubhouse amenities and friendly service.
