Opened in 2018, Blue Star Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 course situated 30 minutes from Kanchanaburi and 2 hours from Bangkok. This local Thai designed course sits between the already established Grand Prix and Blue Sapphire courses. All three courses are built on a former mine site with many sheer cliffs incorporated into the design. This course is not for the faint hearted, in fact it is quite a challenge from the very first hole, due to the proliferation of deep sandy bunkers and narrow fairways and greens. The signature hole at Blue Star is #6, a long par 4 which is ringed by five, large greenside bunkers. The condition of the course is average and with greens and fairways not as manicured as they could be. Facilities and caddy service reflect the fact that the course is mostly played by locals, not international visitors expecting international standards. If you are up for an extreme golf challenge, Blue Star will deliver in spades!
