Cambodia Golf & Country Club is the first course to have been built in Cambodia and it opened in 1996 with a front nine of open fairways lined with sugar palms and a back nine with strategic water hazards coming into play. The clubhouse at this oldest golf course in Cambodia features French-colonial décor and a restaurant that gets good comments from visiting guests. This Cambodia golf course plays through 7000 yards of a collaborative Japanese-Taiwanese course design with pleasantly attractive surroundings. In addition to native sugar palm trees you will see local fruit trees, evergreens, and varieties of plants, flowers, and rocks. The front nine is mostly level with liberal landing areas and lurking sand traps with the outer property abutted by rice farms.
The greens are very large and can add to your putting statistics with unwanted three-putts. The back side gets a bit hillier and more challenging with elevation changes to and from long fairways, and to small greens. You’ll also find the back nine to have more bunkers. Cambodia Golf and Country Club is a fair test of golf and a pleasing experience to include in your golf memories.
