Formerly named Milford Golf Club and Resort, Hua Hin Korea Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course, 40 minutes south of Hua Hin. Designed by Robert McFarland and opened to the general public in 1992, it is best known for its stunning views of the ocean and nearby mountains. The course is generally considered to be less polished than other championship courses in the area. Don’t be surprised to see fairways made of packed earth and bunkers with little or no sand in them. However, the drawcard to this links feel course, is its stunning location within the valley of a chain of mountains, adjacent to the coastline. One half of the course lies on rolling hills, surrounded by mountains, the other half is actually incorporated into the mountainside and features spectacular views of Pak Nam Pran. This is not an easy course, even for the local professionals who sometimes struggle to make par. The natural undulation of the land gives most holes a large angle of elevation and the greens are fast and often sloping. Course conditions vary throughout the year, so you are best advised to check the status of the course before booking a round here.
