Lanna Golf Course opened the first 18 holes in 1975 followed by a third nine to establish the current 27-hole layout just 15 minutes from central Chiang Mai. The first 18 holes are laid out on level terrain teeming with foliage and wildlife. The third nine holes are at the horse riding track so watch out for those ponies! The course is part of a complex comprising horse riding, shooting, swimming, sauna, fitness, and tennis; something even the non-golfers in the family can enjoy.
Lanna Golf Course is a mature course just a short drive from the Chiang Mai city center. The 27 holes feature fairways with fully grown trees in a parkland setting punctuated by carefully placed bunkers. Locals like this course a lot but sometimes the condition could be better. Having the other recreational activities on site is a real plus for the vacationing family.

A highlight is the 2nd hole on Course Two, where you must decide how far to play your tee shot down a narrowing fairway with water left. Then on the tricky 5th hole, you’ll need a precise approach shot. Take the family, the kids will love it.
