The four nines at Long Thanh Golf Club are laid out like a pinwheel around its massive and modern clubhouse. The immediately obvious elevation changes differentiate the four tracks with the West Course being open and level, while the South Course is a bit of a roller coaster as evidenced on the 404-yard first hole where your tee shot drops from an elevated tee box some 80 or 100 feet to a fairway bisected 100 yards from the green by a densely overgrown baranca. You would need 326 yards of carry from the championship tees to clear the baranca. The green has water left, right, and rear, with a 28-yard bunker guarding the front and leaving only 10 yards of opening to run it up instead of flying it to the green.

The North Course is a little less hilly than the South Course and the East Course is less hilly still. The epitome of tropical golf in Vietnam, these fairways are lined with palms and pine trees for an exotic atmosphere. All four nines keep the greens and fairways in good condition throughout the dry and rainy seasons. They have planted Paspalum grass on the fairways and tee boxes while the greens feature Tifdwarf Bermuda.
