Well-maintained course close to the Airport

A firm favorite with locals and expats, Muang Kaew has a fairly flat 18 hole layout and at first sight looks to be an easy challenge. However don’t be fooled, as American course designers Schmidt and Curley have weaved their magic here and you will enjoy a fun round of golf for sure.

Although tight in places most of the fairways at  Muang Kaew are wide in the landing areas making this course comfortable from the tees. There is little elevation change so you are basically hitting from level lies throughout the round. Many of the greens, however, are slightly elevated which causes them to drain well and dry out a bit, making them hard to hold at times.

Par 3 number 3 is a short hole with a tricky green guarded by water and a couple of deep bunkers. Score well here and your off on the right track. Another hole that gets everybody’s attention is their par five 13^th, where you have a blind tee shot over water around a ninety-degree dogleg right and if you hit it over 230 without cutting the corner or fading, you will drive through the fairway. The back nine ends with the deceiving par five 18^th hole where any approach shot short and right will have a watery grave.

and the pro shop has an excellent selection of golf apparel for men and women. This Bangkok golf course is always in tip-top condition. There are four sets of tees so choose your challenge, ranging from over 7,200 yards from the back tees to around 6,500 yards from the whites.
