Royal Gems Golf club designed by Gary Baird back in 1989, is one of only a handful of Thailand golf courses accepted as official members of the United States Golf Association; an honor granted to clubs only after their layouts and facilities comply with USGA championship standards. Woosnam, Lyle and Torrance all played here in the 2009 European Seniors Tour.
