Nicklaus Design Offering a True Championship Challenge

Springfield Royal Country Club is a championship golf course in the true sense of the word, having opened in 1993 and has become the host for various professional tour events. Be prepared for some long carries if you are brave enough to play from the back tees (7,043 yards).

The design is classic Jack Nicklaus with large areas of sand and well-appointed water hazards. The course is exciting and offers a fair challenge when played from the regular tees. It is one of the best maintained courses in Thailand and has a clubhouse with luxurious facilities as well as an excellent restaurant.

Nicklaus designs love to catch the player out who hits a poor weak fade, better known as a slice and the back nine when tiredness begins to creep into your game can be punishing with either a huge waste bunker and water or just water on your right and close to the fairway to tighten you up. If you are on top of your game this course will reward you, it is not especially long.

In 2005 the club asked Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley to create an additional nine holes, now considered by many as offering the hardest challenge of the 27 holes.

Springfield Royal Country Club presents the golfer with a beautifully maintained 27 holes of golf. Each nine holes flirts with your sense of aesthetics, as well as your skills as a golfer. It is a true Jack Nicklaus championship course in Hua Hin with five sets of tees offering varying degrees of difficulty amid the dramatic lush landscape.
