The 18 hole, par 72, Peter Thomson designed links style golf course in Chiang Mai opened in February 1996. The par 4, 4th ( Hcp 1) is an absolute brute of a hole, playing at 440 yards from the back tees and uphill all the way. Not a hole for the faint hearted. This hole is an exception as the key to scoring well, points more towards accuracy than length. More so, considering there is 94 well-placed bunkers to catch any stray shots. You will find many streams and lakes throughout the 18 holes but not all are in play. Royal Chiang Mai Golf Course offers all levels of golfers an enjoyable round with a chance to score well.
