King Naga Golf Club, near Rayon, is a Nick Faldo designed course which was formerly called Great Lake Golf & Country Club. Located 30-minutes drive from Pattaya, the course is situated on a peninsula, in the middle of the Dok Krai Reservoir. Despite its close proximity to water, the course itself incorporates very few water hazards. However, what it lacks in water hazards, it makes up for in bunkers with over 120 of them spread throughout the course. Most are positioned strategically in the landing areas, so accuracy is vital. The signature hole is the 18th with sixteen bunkers surrounding the driving and second shot landing areas. The facilities and clubhouse are basic but adequate for most golfers needs. Nearly all fairways are lined with jungle, meaning the course can get soggy during the wetter months. In the dry months, grass is kept short and well-maintained. Being one of the least expensive clubs in Pattaya, King Naga offers value for money. Just be sure to check the condition of the course before booking a tee time.
